Position Summary
We are looking for an experienced Industrial Powder Coater to join our production team. We have openings for day shift (6:00 AM - 2:00 PM) and afternoon shift (2:00 PM - 10:00 PM). This role is responsible for preparing, coating, and inspecting precision sheet metal parts while ensuring all work meets production, quality, and safety standards.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of hands-on powder coating experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment and is comfortable working in a fast-paced production setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and powder coat parts according to routing sheets, drawings, and work instructions.
• Inspect metal parts before and after coating to ensure quality requirements are met.
• Troubleshoot common powder coating and finish issues.
• Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance of powder coating equipment.
• Issue and handle powder coating materials as required.
• Follow all safety, quality, and production procedures while keeping the paint line moving efficiently.

Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum 1 year of powder coating experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting is required.
• Good understanding of basic manufacturing and production processes.
• Ability to operate powder coating equipment and troubleshoot common coating issues.
• Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints, drawings, routing sheets, and work instructions.
• Comfortable performing basic calculations required for production work.
• Strong attention to detail, good hand-eye coordination, and commitment to quality.
• Able to follow instructions, accept coaching, and work effectively under production deadlines.

Preferred Attributes

• Previous experience powder coating precision sheet metal or industrial steel components.
• Experience working in a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with powder coating systems, material handling, and routine equipment maintenance.
• Strong work ethic and ability to maintain a clean and organized work area.

Schedule & Pay Details

• Shift: Day shift (6:00 AM to 2:00 PM) or Afternoon shift (2:00 PM to 10:00 PM)
• Location: Port Coquitlam, BC
• Pay: $20.00 – $25.00 per hour, based on experience
• Job Type: Full-Time
