Position Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented Quality Inspector to join our manufacturing team. This role is responsible for inspecting precision sheet metal parts throughout the production process to ensure they meet customer drawings, specifications, and internal quality standards.

The ideal candidate has strong measuring and blueprint-reading skills, is comfortable working with inspection tools and computer systems, and can communicate clearly with production teams to resolve quality issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform first article, final, and occasional in-process inspections.
• Measure dimensions and features of manufactured sheet metal parts to verify conformance to customer drawings.
• Use a variety of measuring and inspection equipment accurately.
• Identify quality issues and communicate them to the appropriate production work center for correction.
• Complete inspection reports, data entry, and other quality documentation.
• Work closely with production and quality teams to support consistent product quality.

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience using measuring equipment such as dial and digital calipers, manual and digital protractors, height gauges, tape measures, and squares.
• Strong blueprint reading and interpretation skills.
• Previous experience with measuring equipment is required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows-based computer systems.
• Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of the inspection team.
• Reliable, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.

Preferred Attributes

• Previous experience in quality inspection within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in precision sheet metal fabrication.
• Familiarity with first article inspection, final inspection, and quality reporting processes.
• Experience working with production teams to resolve non-conformance issues.

Schedule & Pay Details

• Shift: Day shift (6:00 AM - 2:00 PM)
• Salary range: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
• Location: Port Coquitlam, BC
